We are praising God for an absolutely wonderful, joyous, fun, safe, healthy, and exciting first year of Brock's life! We have loved being parents for our dear baby Brock and glorify God for him constantly.

I've been tagged by my new sister, Candice...here are my random facts/quirks/embarassing moments...

1. I love eating peanut butter by the spoonful, right from the jar. Freshly ground PB is the best for this. Mmmmm. Otherwise, my vote is for Jif.
2. The other day I had to write a description for a shirt and I spelled "sequins" "sequence". Ben read it and nicely corrected me. Was I really an English Teacher in my former life?
3. I am an inexact baker/cook. I just kind of measure/substitute things so they are close.
4. I love the car I drive. Thank you, Lord (and Ben!)
5. I love planning parties -- in college, I was always the one to organzie everything. When I was a teacher, we celebrated all holidays and created new ones. I'm always up for getting together!
6. I cheer for the Cincinnati Bengals. I couldn't name one person on the team; I just like their stadium walls: they are painted like a jungle.
7. My sister, Elizabeth, has introduced me to coupons, and I have great fun getting incredible deals. Wednesday is a very exciting day because that's when the new ads come out!
8. Being a wife and mother is the best thing in the world.

We visited Daniel at his workplace -- Raceworld USA. It was quite a place; we had a great time touring. Thanks for the fun, Daniel and Candice, and for the great dinner!

Brock loves his cars already! He usually puts them in his mouth for a while and then bangs them on the carpet We're teaching him the names for each one...he'll know them before he knows his colors if his daddy has anything to do with it! :)

We just love seeing all the beautiful flowers down here...the previous owner did a great job planting things. We just added raspberries, blueberries, tomatoes, strawberries, and a banana tree! We're praying that everything grows!
